Branding today has some misconceptions. Some people think it's the logo or a product, others think it's a promise the company makes to their customers. A brand is neither of these things.
A brand is a gut feeling, specifically a customer's gut feeling about a company. A brand lives in the minds and hearts of people, and as a result, your audience creates your brand. Marty Nuemier said it best in his book The Brand Gap:
"Your brand isn’t what you say it is. It’s what they say it is."
Essentially, it is your reputation, your story. A consistent and honest story has the power to win over minds and hearts. This is why it's so important to tell it right.
I cannot sit here and claim to be a brand designer, that is something that requires much more than just graphic design.
What I am is a storyteller. I specialize in helping companies tell their story through a visual medium. You decide what you want your story to be, I just want to help you tell it.
